Bible Audio App Troubleshooting

We're sorry you're experiencing difficulties with the Bible Audio app. This article includes trouble-shooting steps for both the Android and iOS apps. 

Android

RESTART YOUR DEVICE: 

Please try a simple restart of your device. If it hasn't been turned off in a while, it may exhibit some odd behavior with running certain applications.

CHECK FOR UPDATES OF THE BIBLE GATEWAY APP: 

It may be possible that the problem you are encountering was fixed in an update to the program. Be sure to check for any updates by opening the 'Play Store' icon on your device, tapping the Menu icon in the upper left corner, tapping 'My apps & games', and tapping 'Updates'. Tap 'Update' on the Bible Audio app. 

REINSTALL THE APPLICATION:

Find the Settings in your device Application Tray and tap on the Applications menu. Tap on Application Manager. Now find your Bible Gateway application, select it, and tap the Uninstall button.

Now, reinstall the Bible Gateway app from the Google Play Store. Exit to the home screen of your device, and locate the Google Play Store. Search for Bible Gateway. Locate and select the Bible Gateway app published by HarperCollins Christian Publishing. Tap on Install to begin the installation. Once installed, please reboot your device.

iOS

RESTART YOUR DEVICE: 

Please try a simple restart of your device. If it hasn't been turned off in a while, it may exhibit some odd behavior with running certain applications. If you are not familiar with restarting your iOS device, instructions are available on Apple's website here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1430?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US

CHECK FOR UPDATES OF THE BIBLE GATEWAY APP: 

It may be possible that the problem you are encountering was fixed in an update to the program. Be sure to check for any updates by opening the 'App Store' icon from your device and then selecting the 'Updates' tab.

RE-INSTALL THE APPLICATION: 

To remove the application, find the Bible Gateway app icon, tap and hold it until it begins to shake. This will expose an "x" symbol in the corner of the app icon. Tap on this symbol. You will be prompted to confirm the deletion of the app. Tap "Delete" to remove the app. Next reinstall the Bible Gateway app on your phone through the App Store.
