Why are some online Bibles different than their print versions?

The version of each translation you see available on Bible Gateway comes to us from the publishers who have given permission to Bible Gateway to present it. Publishers provide us with a particular edition which may not match other earlier or later editions precisely. Most of the differences you're likely to notice between print and online versions of a Bible are minor, and reflect the publisher's ongoing fine-tuning of passages to better reflect the language of the original text.
