Why are some online Bibles different than their print versions?

The version of each translation you see available on Bible Gateway comes to us from the publishers who give us permission to offer these Bibles on our website. Publishers provide us with a particular edition. If you have an earlier or later edition than what we offer on Bible Gateway, you will likely see differences between your version and ours. However, most of the differences between the print and online versions of a particular translation are minor and reflect the publisher's ongoing fine-tuning to better reflect the language of the original text.
