When reading the Bible on BibleGateway.com, you can highlight Bible passages in different colors like you would use a physical highlighter to mark passages in a print Bible. To highlight a passage, select the text you want to highlight and a toolbar will appear with four colors to choose from:
Click one of the four colors (yellow, pink, blue, green) to highlight the passage in that color.
To change the highlight color or remove the highlight, select the highlighted text and either choose a new color or click the X icon to remove the highlight from the toolbar.
The highlights you have added are stored on BibleGateway.com when you are logged into your Bible Gateway account. You can view or delete the highlights you have added by visiting the My Annotations section of your Bible Gateway account. Click your name in the upper right corner and click Highlights.
When your highlights are backed up to your Bible Gateway account, you can access them from any device as long as you're logged into your Bible Gateway account.
Please note that the highlight feature is only available when you are viewing the Bible on our website. It is not available for other resources, such as commentaries or dictionaries.
